TABLE GHOST

NEW ENGLAND IPA

Gather close kids, and listen carefully. Strange things have been happening at Cabin. Really strange things…

A knocking sound in the boiler. A monotonous squeak in the walls. Shrieks from the taproom. Vanishing piles of new release beer. One day all the beer turned hazy and it hasn’t been clear since.

Something had to be done. We prayed to the beer gods. We offered up barley wine sacrifices. After many (many) sacrifices, we started having visions and took action. We threw hops. We sprayed the brew system with blessed brewing water. We incanted brewing calculations and style guidelines late into the night.

The next day, the supernatural activity stopped. At the same time, a ghostly spectre appeared in the wood grain of a tap room table. We had done it. We had trapped Cabin’s ghost for good (swipe for proof!).

Table Ghost NEIPA (6.5%) is our second anniversary beer and is an homage to the little ghost that was. It’s a dank, murky, NEIPA of the finest quality, hopped abundantly with Strata hops. It’s juicy and aromatic and delicious. Available TODAY in cans, growler fills and for onsite consumption. You can order this one online (link in bio).

But wait… did you just see the ghost move around on the label? That’s strange. Really strange…

GOLDEN HOUR

BELGIAN BLOND

Sometimes, simple is best. Like sitting during the final hour of the day – the golden hour – where all that surrounds you is amplified in soft, glowing light. Like sipping a simple but well-crafted ale – one that radiates with a gentle golden hue and subtle aromatics, encapsulating all that is incredible about the Belgian brewing tradition. Golden Hour Belgian Blond has a wonderfully simple grain bill featuring Franco-Belges pilsner malt. It’s crackery and ever-so-lightly toasty. The Belgian yeast strain does all the work here, giving an array of honey, pear and white pepper aromas, with just the lightest juicy fruit aromas and flavours. It finishes mostly dry, with a lingering, rounded sweetness. Deceptively simple. Wonderfully delicious. Take time to enjoy the Golden Hour.

CHAPTER 1

BARREL-AGED WEE HEAVY

Made to celebrate our first anniversary, Chapter 1 showcases our Scottish Wee Heavy in two types of oak barrels - Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels and Highland Scotch barrels. The scotch barrels impart notes of light smoke, gentle brine, tobacco leaf and raisin to the rich toffee and caramel flavours of the Wee Heavy. The bourbon barrels lend a melange of cooking spice aromatics and flavours reminiscent of caramel, vanilla and sweet butter tart to the full-bodied wee heavy. Individually filled and wax-dipped by hand, these gorgeous bottles are ready to drink now, but will continue age gracefully in your cellar. Fancy!.

POSTER GIRL

BLOOD ORANGE AND HIBISCUS IPA

Resilient. Versatile. Caring. Strong. Words cannot fully describe the women of Cabin, and the impact they have on Alberta’s craft beer industry. Cabin wouldn’t be Cabin without them.
.
On International Women’s Day on March 8, these amazing women joined as part of the @pinkbootssociety initiative to brew a blood orange and hibiscus IPA, called Poster Girl. It has big aromas and flavours of orange, grapefruit, lemon and pine and has a glorious orange and pink hue. The finish is dry, with a little malty sweetness to remind you you’re not drinking a glass of grapefruit juice.
.
Poster Girl is named in honour of Canada’s original poster girl Veronica Foster, a machine gun assembly worker who shot to fame as the face of Canada’s home war effort during Wold War II. Ronnie the Bren Gun Girl, as she was known, defined feminine strength and liberation at a time of great upheaval. Better yet, she was real – her image spurred the US to create their own fictional icon, Rosie the Riveter, to help with their war propaganda effort.

VINES & BINES

CANADIAN SPARKLING ALE

A collaboration with Alberta's first urban winery - City & Country Winery and Tasting Bar! From the vines come the grapes, from the bines the hops. Vines & Bines is a true Canadian product. It is a clear, highly effervescent Kolsch-style ale made with Alberta barley and Sauvignon Blanc grape juice and skins from the Niagara-on-the-Lake wine region in Ontario. It finishes dry and crisp with luscious stonefruit notes and hints of lychee and lime. It is dry-hopped with the New Zealand hop varietal Nelson Sauvin, known for its aromatic qualities akin to Sauvignon Blanc wine. It comes in a can, but you may want to enjoy it from a champagne flute – go ahead, we won’t judge…

SEASON PASS

WEST COAST IPA

You’re in it for the long haul, so you may as well make the most of it.

Season Pass is a bright beacon at the start of the cold weather - an old school style with a modern kick. We’ve used 100% Origin Malting barley to build an aromatic malt backbone, and dumped a hefty amount of hops to let you know that this is most definitely a West Coast IPA of immense proportions. Chinook and Columbus give some old school resin, spice and pine notes while Simcoe and Amarillo steer it towards the citrus, stone fruit and tropical fruit notes we know and love in our hop-forward beers. This is an IPA for IPA lovers. Bitter? Yes. Aroma for days? You know it. Delicious? Absolutely!

DOMINION DAZE

HOPPED WHEAT ALE

Just in time to toast the 153rd birthday of the place we call home, we offer to you Dominion Daze - a hopped wheat ale that is exploding with tropical notes from a federation-sized payload of Azacca, Galaxy and Vic Secret hops. At 5% it comes ready-to-crush for those all day long celebrations we know and love. We went with six-packs in the 355ml format for this beer, because “grabbin’ a fourer” just doesn’t sound right. And best of all? We’ve engineered two maple leaf stickers on every can label that you can peel off and use to express your patriotic fervour. Slap them on anything and everything! That’s 12 stickers with every sixer. We’re not sure Canada can handle this much patriotism on one six-pack but by heck, we’re going to give it a good old Canadian try!
